General Labour

WS Steel, is a Tier 1 OEM fabricator with a compliment of ~200 employees. We manufacture both high volume components and large-scale products/projects across a wide range of industries. We are seeking full-time Evening-Shift General Laborers to provide support to our production teams, which includes a 12% wage premium and a 3-day weekend!

Position Overview:

The General Laborer role will be required to support general day to day tasks in production. Work will likely vary day to day depending on where the work demand is heaviest in the shop.

Duties:

• Finishing activities - hanging, washing, packaging
• Wheelabrator operation
• Breaking out parts from laser cut skeletons
• Assembly
• Construction of wooden shipping pallets or skids
• Routine housekeeping and 6S
• Other tasks as required to meet customer expectations

Qualifications:

• Experience with tools and a mechanical aptitude would be an asset
• Have a positive attitude and be willing to work in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal with the ability to work collaboratively with others
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50lbs) is a must
• Significant standing, walking, and bending
• Punctuality and team commitment
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Reliable transportation

Hours per week: 40 hours (5:00 p.m.—3:30 a.m. Mon.-Thurs.)
