Lab Technician

Integra Castings is looking to fill a lab technician position.

- afternoon shift premium of $1.50/hr and midnight premium of $2.00/hr.

Duties:
• Conduct nodularity tests on coupons
• Using the Spectrometer, conduct a test to look for chemistry of the sample. Continue tests until there are 2 consecutive tests within the specifications.
• Prepare tests bars and record all data on the computer.
• Perform scheduled calibration of all measuring equipment, according to specifications.
• Conduct tests on sand to check for integrity, and curing time.
• Complete Non Conformance Reports as that arise to ensure all non-conforming product or process is handled in a timely manner.
• Data entry of all tests and findings
• Other duties as required.

Other Duties:
• Assist with cast inspection when necessary.
• Conduct ultrasound tests on castings found to be non-conforming, as required. This is done to locate any non-visible defects.
• Cut castings using the bandsaw, to diagnose defects
