The Educational Assistant (S-L Support) will work under the supervisory function of the Student Services Administrator. The successful applicant will support the Student Services Clinical team and Speech-Language Pathologists in the assessment, programming, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency difficulties. The Educational Assistant (S-L Support) will implement speech and language therapy programming with individual students or in groups.

Tasks include but are not limited to, articulation, phonology, voice, fluency, language, and communication (AAC)

Must be able to follow specific instructions
Be self motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision, time management skills and highly organized
Be able to follow a prescriptive intervention plan
Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills
Maintain records, chart progress
Will prep materials and other duties as assigned the Speech-Language Pathologist
Participate in ongoing training in the areas of speech-language intervention
Previous experience in delivery of speech and language (SLP) programming is preferred
Experience with the following would be an asset: Symbolstix, Boardmaker, ProLoquo2Go, Pictello, Publisher
Ability to utilize technology is required i.e., Google Suite, text, email, using apps, for intervention
Must have access to a vehicle and a valid class 5 driver’s license, as Travel to RRVSD schools in various communities is required
