Welder

WS Steel, is a Tier 1 OEM fabricator with a compliment of ~200 employees. We manufacture both high volume components and large-scale products/projects across a wide range of industries. We are seeking full-time Welders for both day and evening shifts.

Position Overview:
The Welder role will be required to weld using MIG and/or TIG methods. The position will require the ability to read drawings and use precision instruments. It will also require set-up of jigs and fixtures as required.

Duties:
- Jig and fixture set-up for production welding
- Read and interpret drawings and/or welding process specifications and instructions.
- Understand and interpret weld symbols.
- Fabricating and fitting project work without jigs and fixtures
- Operation of overhead cranes
- Checking work meets quality expectations as per ISO
- Routine welder maintenance and 6S

Qualifications:
- Self-starter who is compelled to take action in the workplace without prompting from supervisor
- Experience in any form of welding SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG) preferred.
- High School graduation. Training in a certified welding program an asset.
- Welder Fitter experience desired.
- Welding ability will be expected to be demonstrated during interview.
- CWB certificate, not required, but an asset.
- Production experience an asset

Hours per week:
40 hours- Monday to Thursday; Dayshift- 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Evening shift- 5:00 pm - 3:30am
