Title: Summer Art Camp Co-Leader
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time (35 hours/week)
Location: Winkler Arts and Culture Centre Inc
Estimated Start Date: Late June/early July 2024

We are looking for 2 creative and enthusiastic Summer Art Camp Co-Leaders to join our team for the summer months. The successful candidates will be responsible for planning, organizing and running our summer camp program for kids.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement age-appropriate art curriculum and activities for children.
• Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the summer camp program, including registration, scheduling, and communication with parents.
• Ensure that all camp activities comply with WA+C safety regulations and policies.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture among staff and volunteers.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians.
• Evaluate the success of the program and provide feedback for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents and feedback.

Requirements:
• As per the Canada Summer Jobs Grant, applicants must be between the ages of 15-30 years old.
• Be legally entitled to work according to provincial/federal legislation.
• Experience working with children in a camp, educational, or recreational setting.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
• Artistic ability is a strong asset.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
