Avena is seeking a Senior Sales and Marketing Associate to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. This position is remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from any location. Reporting to VP, Sales and Marketing, the Senior Sales and Marketing Associate is a responsible, active member of the dynamic sales and marketing team of Avena Foods. As such, they will contribute to the planning and implementation of sales, marketing, and advertising activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a result-driven social media strategy.
Develop engaging content for social media platforms.
Attend events/shows and develop live content.
Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social channels.
Monitor social channels for trends.
Review analytics, create reports and develop plans to improve performance.
Support and develop inside sales.
Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure the sales and marketing department runs smoothly.
Support the sales staff in building sales records, developing CRM skills and enabling them to use NetSuite.
Prepare regular sales forecasting reports with input from finance and the sales team.
Qualify website and telephone leads, forwarding them to the appropriate director of sales and business development person, under the supervision of the VP of Sales and Marketing.
Coordinate and provide technical services for Avena run webinars and other on-line events.
Support the Senior Associate of Marketing and Communications in the organization of promotional events, both in person and virtual trade shows.
Support the Senior Associate of Marketing and Communications in the digital publication of website content, blogs, e-newsletters and social media.
Grow the MailChimp subscriber list.
Monitor and report competitors’ marketing and sales activities.
Provide input on Avena’s potential and current research and development activities.
Qualifications

Passion for social media and proficient with major platforms.
Proficiency with video and photo editing tools.
Excellent social listening skills.
Bachelor’s degree.
Some knowledge of Food Science.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills (email, phone, etc.).
Ability to build positive relationships with customers and other members of the team.
Computer literacy. This position requires continual use of computer systems.
