Positions we are looking to fill:
1. Kennel Attendants / Trainers

  1. Kennel Attendants / Trainers (Looking for 3 positions to fill)

A career with room for movement. The new team member would start out as a kennel attendant and progress to add training service dogs.

Full time / Starting Wage $16.00 per hour with increase after two month probation. Position includes access to our University Accredited Course free of charge ($33,000 course).

Kennel (Dog Operations)
• Feeding: Ensure dogs are fed according to their dietary requirements and schedules.

• Cleaning: Clean and maintain kennels, including removing waste, sanitizing surfaces, and replacing bedding.

• Exercise and Play: Provide dogs with exercise and playtime, either individually or in groups, as appropriate.

• Monitoring Health: Keeping an eye on the health and well-being of the dogs, report any concerns to the kennel supervisor.

• Administer Medication: If necessary, administer medication to dogs as directed by the kennel supervisor.

• Bathing and Grooming: Bathe and groom dogs as needed, including brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.

• Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of each dog's feeding, exercise, health concerns, and any other relevant information.

• Customer Service: Interacting with customers who drop off or pick up their dogs, providing updates on their pets' well-being and answering any questions they may have.

• Training and Socialization: Assisting with training and socialization activities for dogs, as directed by the kennel supervisor.

• Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to emergencies such as fights between dogs, medical emergencies, or natural disasters, following established protocols.

• General Maintenance: Performing general maintenance tasks around the kennel facility, such as mowing lawns, repairing fences, or painting as needed.

  1. Trainers (Looking for 2 positions to fill)

MSAR is looking to hire obedience, rehabilitation and service dog trainers. Basically we are looking for dog trainers who want to become service or working dog trainers.

Full-time, part-time and contract positions available. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with increase after 2 month probation. Starting pay may increase depending on experience.

We are hiring full-time, part-time or contract trainers to assist with:
- General obedience training of service and working dogs
- Service dog training
- Working dogs training for Police, Military and Contracts
- Training provided

Additional Duties include;
-Attend educational training courses
-Work with service and working dogs
-Work and learn to manage Kennel Operations
-Raise, train and place service and working dogs
-Be a representative for MSAR at local, national and international activities and projects
-Assist with project management related to MSAR dog programs
-Travelling within Canada and internationally to deliver, pickup or assist with service and working dog training or placement

Criteria
-Have drivers license
-Have a valid passport
-Criminal background check
-Vulnerable person background check


3. Working Dog Handler / Police (Looking for 2 positions to fill)

MSAR is looking for people that have experience caring, training and handling working dogs for Narcotics Detection, SAR, Police, Anti Poaching and Search & Recovery.

Position can be on a full-time, part-time or contract basis. Wage depends on experience.

Duties
- General obedience training of service and working dogs
- Working with dogs training for Police, Military and Contract
- Additional Training provided, including but not limited to our Accredited Working Dog Course, and international training workshops.

Additional Duties include:

-Work and learn to manage Working Dog Kennel Operations
