Centre Director - Centre d’Enfants St. Claude Children’s Centre

Centre d’Enfants St. Claude Children’s Centre is a not-for-profit organization that has been offering childcare services to our community for over 20 years. Located in St. Claude, Manitoba, our Centre is licensed for 48 infant to preschool spaces, as well as 40 spaces at our school age program. Our programming is based on the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the children. We believe in creating an environment that encourages open communication and experimentation to enhance learning opportunities.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to fill the role of Executive Director at our Centre. This is a full-time, permanent position, reporting to the Centre’s board of directors, with oversight from Early Learning and Childcare (ELCC) and the Childcare Learning Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of operations, including staff management, program development, financial oversight and regulatory compliance. Our Centre is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Specific Duties - The successful candidate will:

• Provide leadership and mentorship to 17 staff members, including 4 site supervisors, promoting a workplace culture that is positive and supportive.
• Be responsible and accountable for program management, organizational management, financial management, human resource management as well as public relations and professionalism.
• Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate curricula and activities that promote cognitive, social and emotional development of children.
• Ensure the Centre operates in compliance with all relevant regulations, licensing requirements and safety standards.
• Interact professionally with children, families, staff, other childcare providers and various levels of government.

Requirements
We are looking for:

Education
• An experienced ECE III, with a minimum 2 years experience as a supervisor and/or administrator in an Early Learning and Child Care setting.
• ECE II’s, with similar experience and a willingness to obtain their ECE III, may be considered.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification

Experience
• Minimum 5 years experience in a childcare or early learning setting.

Essential Skills
• Strong financial acumen, with demonstrated experience in budget development, financial analysis, and resource management
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and demonstrated knowledge of all ELCC reporting and licensing requirements.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster relationships with professionalism and integrity.
• Experience working with computers, including programs such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office. With the ability to learn new programs and technology as required
• Experience with Fastoche would be an asset.
• Ability to communicate in both English and French would be an asset.
