Fiber Construction Technician

We are hiring a full-time Fiber Construction Technician to join our team at Valley Fiber located in Lockport. This position reports to the Fiber Construction Manager.

What You’ll Do:
• Install Fiber within RMs of Manitoba
• Operate various equipment for installation of fiber
• Install fiber, NIDs, Test Stations, MSTs
• Maintenance on equipment
• Vehicle, and trailer inspections
• Update programs for work completion
• Work in a crew environment
• Request materials for assigned tasks
• Communicate and work with the Fiber Construction Supervisor / Management

What You Bring:
• Fiber Construction experience an asset
• Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
• Active listening skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate as a team player.

Working Conditions:
• Ability to work long hours
• Work in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50lbs - 75lbs
• Work in a team environment with other Leads and Supervisors
• Staying away in hotels a requirement
• Other tasks as assigned
