Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS) is a charitable, not-for-profit organization generously supported by government, corporate and individual donors. Our 24/7 emergency helicopter air ambulance service provides time, hope and life-saving transport to critically ill and injured patients. Recognized as leaders in critical care medicine, our team of professionals excels in patient care, rapid transport, emergency medical training and education.

STARS is proud to have flown more than 33,000 missions since 1985. The entire STARS team is dedicated to delivering our long-standing vision of saving lives through partnership, innovation and leadership. Partnering with community services, STARS continues to deliver exceptional emergency care and transport from six bases across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, including Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
