Operations Manager
Fusion Industries Inc. has been providing custom fabrication and welding services to customers across North America for two decade. We work in a variety of industries including: Ag, Material Handling, Structural Steel, Industrial, and Mechanical.
Our team in Niverville, MB (just a short 20 min. drive from Winnipeg), is looking for a full-time Operations Manager. This salaried position will report to the VP of Operations and will play a key role in the company’s growth.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and implement company-wide SOP’s, production schedules, workflow, inventory and QC systems.
• Ensure smooth operations, efficiencies, people management, freight flow, change implementation, and safety, aligned to operational expectations and guidelines.
• Coach and develop team members using a positive attitude, collaboration, clear communication, and direction.
• Responsible for overseeing the office staff and Shop Manager.
• Plan production tasks and communicate expectations to team members.
• Make the necessary changes to scheduling, staffing and production tasks to enable us to service client emergencies as they arise.
• Monitor and ensure workflow, inventory, and production schedules are on task and deadlines are met.
• Assist in the hiring and training of new staff to meet increased production requirements.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years management experience in a related or similar industry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Post-secondary education in Engineering or related field would be considered an asset
• Strong leadership and training skills
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
• Organized with a high attention to detail
• Able to work with tight deadlines
• A team player
