General Metal Fabrication began operations in 1985 in a 2000 sq. ft. shop. It has expanded to over 34,000 sq. ft. of shop area and yet remains a family owned company that focuses on customer satisfaction every day.

Over the years we have continually invested in equipment to meet the needs of our very diversified client base. We have one of the largest custom machine shops in southern Manitoba that is equipped with conventional machines for repair and maintenance work, and CNC lathes, mills, and a large boring mill for production runs. Our cutting and forming department is also equipped with CNC brakes to ensure quality in our fabricated components.

Our engineering team works with Solid Works Cad software to assist our clients with their engineering requirements. This allows jobs to be modeled and tested to ensure they meet the standards the customer is expecting.

Our welding facility is CWB certified for structural work, aluminum and stainless steel projects. We have the capabilities to do intricate aluminum and stainless work in our specialized TIG welding department all the way up to heavy construction projects by our skilled staff in our welding shop.

To ensure total customer satisfaction, all work is inspected by our quality assurance team to verify that each component is made to the customer specifications.
