As the Facility Operator, you will coordinate and support operations, sales, and customer service activities and day-to-day operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting customers as required
  • Ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the granular fertilizer facility, bulk seed facility, and agri-chemical warehouses, including shipping and receiving, inventory management and maintenance as well as Phase III compliance
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintaining yard and office
  • Overseeing inventory control including:
    • Completing regular inventory counts
    • Maintaining inventory records
    • Working with the team to investigate and resolve discrepancies
    • Shipping and receiving
    • Following established procedures for loading and receiving product
    • Verifying and ensuring all documentation is accurate
    • Providing outstanding customer service
    • Adhering to company policies and procedures
    • Maintaining strict confidentiality
    • Completing other duties and projects as required

Required Qualifications

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Precision-ag in Canada
  • Precision-ag requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Possession of valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to building the team
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of the following: Transportation of Dangerous Goods, WHMIS, Forklift Operator and First Aid/CPR
  • Computer skills
  • Self-starter with a desire to succeed
  • Ability to identify opportunities and implement solutions
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Production or plant experience
