Maintenance Operator

The Village of Avonlea invites applications for the full-time position of Village Maintenance Operator, temporary, possibly permanent position.

The successful applicant will be responsible for working under the direction of senior staff, including but not limited to:
-Water Treatment & Distribution
-Street Maintenance
-Maintenance & Operation of Skidsteer ,
Mower, Street sweeper
-Garbage collection
-other duties as assigned
-weekend on-call rotation (must live or be willing to move to Avonlea)

Applicants must be able to perform the job as part of a team player, able to work and communicate with Council, staff and general public.

Certification in Water & Wastewater would be an asset OR must be willing to work towards the applicable certification requirements. Applicant must have Grade 12 or Grade 12 equivalent and a valid driver’s license.

This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
