Central Butte Child Care Incorporated (CBCCI) is an inclusive child care centre offering care for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. CBCCI is currently seeking applications for Full Time, Part Time and Casual Early Childhood Educators to work alongside our Centre Director in organizing, planning and implementing activities to support a quality early learning program at our child care centre located in Central Butte, Saskatchewan. The start date for these positions will be August 29th, 2022. Wage and benefits are negotiable and will be based on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary
Early Childhood Educators will be responsible to CBCCI’s Centre Director. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children and are able to provide a safe, creative, nurturing and fun environment that promotes healthy growth and development for the children in our communities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Listed below are duties and responsibilities of ECE employees, included but not limited to:
Assisting the Centre Director in developing and implementing a quality early learning and child care program
Providing care that prioritizes children’s overall safety, security and wellbeing
Fostering a positive environment that is inclusive and accepting of children’s beliefs, wishes and culture
Leading activities such as reading, telling stories, teaching songs and providing opportunities to express creativity through arts and crafts, dramatic play, music and physical activity
Guiding and assisting children in development of healthy eating, dressing and toileting habits
Assisting with meal preparation
Assisting with administrative duties such as preparing reports, record keeping and attending staff meetings
Maintaining child care equipment and assisting with cleaning, sanitizing and keeping the child care centre in an overall state of cleanliness
Following centre operational policies and procedures as intended in the Employee Manual
Establishing collaborative relationships with children, parents, coworkers and CBCCI’s Board of Directors

Education and Requirements
Two year diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education at a recognized College or University or equivalent - ECE Level I, II or III *applicants working towards this certification or willing to work towards this certification may also apply
First Aid and CPR

Criminal Record Search
18 years of age or older and legally entitled to work in Canada

Skills and Abilities
The following are additional skills and abilities that are not required, but would be assets to the successful candidates:
Experience in an early learning and child care environment
High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and together as part of a team
Safe Food Handling Certificate
Understanding of The Child Care Regulations, 2015 and The Child Care Act, 2014
