Seasonal Skilled Labourer - Parks & Recreation

Overview:
As part of the Community and Leisure Services Department, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill a seasonal, permanent full-time Skilled Labourer position.

Reporting to the Parks Supervisor or designate, this position will primarily assist with parks related work between the months of October through to April. This includes snow clearing, trail maintenance, outdoor rink maintenance, tree maintenance, assisting with cemetery grave digs, among other park tasks. The position will also be cross trained in the arena in order to provide additional support for ice maintenance and other related tasks within the Uniplex as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.).
• Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Current driver’s abstract from Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) demonstrating a safe driving record.
• Possession of a valid, First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training.

Compensation:
This is an in-scope (union) position with a starting wage of $23.95/hour (2022 rate).
