As an Assistant Store Manager, you will:
-Create and maintain the Pet Valu experience for our customers and employees.
-Support the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store while acting in accordance to Pet Valu principles and standards.
-Support the Store Manager in providing product knowledge and selling skills training to new and existing staff.
-Execute opening and closing procedures according to company policies and procedures.
-Motivate team through coaching & leadership.
Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet the demands of the business.
-Be working about 30 hours a week.
The successful candidate will:
-Have 1+ year related management experience in retail, pet store experience is a plus;
-Have 2+ years related customer service experience in retail, pet store experience is a plus;
-Be 18 years of age or older;
-Be a leader that drives results, develops talent, and focuses on the customer;
-Collaborate with others, yet be self-motivated;
-Have experience with visual planning and merchandising;
-Be energetic and have positive attitude;
-Have strong overall computer skills;
-Have great communication skills;
-Enjoy coming up with creative ideas for marketing and promotion;
-Be willing to take on challenges and excel under pressure;
-Have experience with POS systems;
-Have the ability to lift 40 lbs repetitively;
-Be able to work days, evenings, weekends.
