JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY:
 Recruit, train, direct and work alongside volunteer and paid kettle workers
 Work as a team player and coordinate with The Christmas Coordinator
 Schedule volunteers ensuring all kettle locations are covered daily and respond to emergency absences, etc.
 Contact churches, businesses, and other organizations to fill volunteer spots on kettles
 Keep accurate records using the online Kettle System
 Ensure kettle locations are kept well-stocked with supplies (i.e., literature, giveaways, tiptap battery, etc.)
 Responsible for arranging delivery and pick-up kettles to/from sites daily, ensuring the security of donations
 Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner
 Post campaign; retrieve all equipment/supplies from various kettle locations
 Prepare and send out thank you letters to various groups
 Perform other Christmas related duties as required
 Must follow all Covid Protocol set out by The Salvation Army
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ORGANIZED, FRIENDLY, MULTITASKER.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
 Understand and support the Mission of The Salvation Army
 Ability to represent the local Salvation Army
 Excellent organizational and logistical skills
 Experience in office administration/office equipment – computer, copier/fax machine
 Computer skills in word processing, poster creation and spread sheets
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Be self-motivation and able to work with minimal supervision
 Obtain mandatory Criminal Police Investigation Check (CPIC) with vulnerable sector check
 Posses a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and provides Driver’s Abstract

Education/Certifications:
 Completed High School Grade 12

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
 Background check consent
 A clear vulnerable sector screening
 A clean drivers abstract
 Completion of our online Prasedium Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training
DAYS and HOURS of work: 40 hours a week. Days will vary.
