At no other time in history has health care mattered more to Canadians. Lake of the Woods District Hospital is an acute care hospital, providing high-quality patient-centered care to residents of the City of Kenora, surrounding communities and a large seasonal population.
Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation (LWDHF) raises funds to invest in the programs, technologies and equipment that make our Hospital’s superior patient care a reality. This spirit of innovation is powered by the Foundation’s donors and volunteers, who share our vision for better healthcare and who recognize that investment is always needed for the next innovation as much as the last one. With a strong focus on performance and best practice, and guided by a skilled Board, LWDHF offers a positive, collaborative team environment and opportunities for professional development.
Currently, the Foundation is seeking an experienced professional to help engage our community in new ways, raise funds and articulate the many reasons why LWDHF is a worthy place of philanthropic support. The Development Coordinator is an integral member of the Development Team, building relationships and managing a portfolio of donors and prospects, and providing professional volunteer management for fundraising volunteers. The Development Coordinator is primarily responsible for generating fundraising revenue, identifying potential sources of corporate sponsorship and driving acquisition of mid-level gifts in the $1,000 - $9,999 range.
