Join our team! We’re looking for an HR Generalist who is driven, curious, and passionate about working in the human resources field. In this role, you will support our business, team members, leaders, and HR team in various areas of human resources with a particular focus on recruitment, retention, and employee relations.
What You Will Do:
Work closely with your HR team members to action our strategic plan
Provide exceptional customer service to our customers and contribute to providing an exceptional employee experience for all team members
Support talent acquisition and hiring managers with recruitment initiatives including, creating postings, reviewing resumes and digital prescreen interviews, conducting interviews and assessments, conducting reference checks, preparing and delivering offers
Facilitate exit and stay interviews, along with ad hoc reports focused on improving retention and the overall employee experience.
Provide orientation and onboarding support as required
Research and conduct wage market surveys
Provide employee relations support to leaders and employees, coaching and support to leaders with performance related issues and work directly with employees to address workplace/department concerns
Assist managers on the interpretation of company policies and how to handle and document employee situations
Participate in continuous improvement of department and HR related processes
Stay well-informed of and advise leaders on various provincial legislation, employment standards and labour laws
Support training initiatives; develop, collaborate and facilitate organizational training
Work closely with the team to identify continuous improvement opportunities in various areas of HR
Participate in other ad hoc projects and initiatives as required
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or Human Resources Certificate and - 3+ years’ related generalist experience
CPHR designation or working toward designation preferred
Knowledge of employment legislation, employment law and current emerging practices and standards
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality
Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills
Driven, accountable, self-starter who “gets things done”
Curiosity with a passion for learning, openness to ask questions seeking to understand and share ideas
Well-developed communication and presentation skills
Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail
Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential
Working knowledge of UKGPro (HRIS) will be considered an asset
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
