Exceldor Cooperative, an Award-Winning, long-standing company seeks a Planning & Optimization Manager to join our team at our location in Blumenort, Manitoba. Reporting to the Director of Processing Operations, you will be responsible for:
• Overall responsibility for production planning and scheduling of all production at the plant to meet the needs of both the internal and external customers.
• To optimize plant production and sales and is responsible for overall profitability of products produced and sold
• Responsible for profitability determination that will also support strategic or business opportunities when planning production
• Coordinate regular scheduled meetings with Sales and Production to review forecasts and scheduling of chicken and turkey, and to ensure processes, variances and corrective actions are in place and departments are held accountable.
• Design, develop and ensure complaint case labels are produced (format and language).
• Anticipates trends and developments in the food industry and adjusts plans to ensure ongoing competitive advantage. Communicate information which may affect sales forecasts & corporate plans.
• Ensures timely and accurate status reports on all sale activities and outcomes
• Monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate sales & production levels.
• Keeps Director, Processing Operations informed of potential issues/problems, as well as communicate on business progress and/or results.
• Responsible to plan, monitor, support all plant purchasing of packaging supplies and maintenance parts; manage inventories and purchasing staff
• Oversee and initiate a review of relevant plant KPIs and metrics and the transition from paper to electronic formats including displaying results on dashboards using plant and computer screens
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years working in a sales or production supervisory role.
• University or College degree with a focus on Business Administration/Sales
• Able to prioritize work schedule & provide effective direction to both the production and sales teams.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications and ERP systems
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (both written and oral)
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Production knowledge an asset.
