Trailer Mechanic

Penner Trailers, located in both Steinbach and Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a customer-focused trailer dealership that carries a large selection of new and used car-haulers, flat deck, gooseneck/fifth wheel, aluminum, utility, stock, cargo and ATV trailers. We are looking for a mechanic to join our Winnipeg location.

Responsibilities:

• Complete mechanical, electrical, or general repairs/service
• Determines trailer problems by visually inspecting and using various diagnostic tools to determine repairs needed
• Answers inquiries, identifies potential future problems, recommends repair or replacement of parts, and reports findings to Service Counter
• Inspect new trailers and prepare for sales lot

Skills & Experience:

• Basic mechanical experience and knowledge
• Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Aptitude to learn and work in the trade
• Positive attitude and team player
• Strong commitment to the customer
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding duties
• Must be familiar with and supply own tools of the trade
