Computer Network Administrator

Constellation Computers is an established and growing Computer Equipment and Commercial IT Service Provider. We serve a wide range of businesses, organizations and clients across Southern Manitoba, helping them navigate their IT challenges, manage their networks, improve their network security and implement new tech (printers/peripherals, phone systems, security cameras, etc.).

We have an immediate opening for a Full-Time (1.0FTE) Computer Network Administrator based out of our Winkler Manitoba (Canada) location. We are looking for someone with experience, but we are willing to train the right applicant who demonstrates appropriate knowledge and aptitude.

We are looking for someone who;
• has completed the CompTIA A+ Certification
• is a great problem solver
• loves learning and exploring computer software/hardware and emerging tech
• is able to work independently and with a team to meet the needs of our clients.
• takes pride in the quality of their work, with a sense of urgency toward project completion
• is committed to honesty and integrity, and following through on commitments
• has strong written and oral communication skills in English
• has the ability to interact professionally with business owners/administrators/managers/executives
• is willing to receive & share constructive feedback from & with team members
• must be bondable, Criminal record check will be required for the successful applicant
• must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and 24/7 access to a vehicle
• has the ability to climb and work off of ladders and extension lifts (training provided)
• has a grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent

• Troubleshoot hardware, network, and Operating System issues, on-site & remotely
• Hardware deployment & installation, including climbing ladders & using lifts (training provided)
• Normal business hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, some evening and weekend work may be required from time to time
• Be available for after-hours and weekend client support on a rotating team schedule
• Work inside and outside year-round as necessary to complete tasks
• Participate in certification & training
• Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and meet deadlines

• Experience with computer hardware, operating systems, software deployment and troubleshooting
• Experience with productivity software including; Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Reader, Adobe Creative Cloud, Quickbooks and Sage
• Familiar with Windows Server environments and other server operating systems
• Virtualization Environments, Backup Solutions, Database Management
• Experience with new PC deployments and upgrades
• Experience with System and network management and troubleshooting
• Familiar with Networking, Network Protocols and Wireless
• Familiar with Security Cameras, IP Phone Systems, Door Access Systems & Cell Phone Boosters
• Familiar with Email & Web Hosting, Internet Protocols and Cloud services
• Customer service experience
