DESCRIPTION
Morden Collegiate Institute in Western School Division invites applications to fill a Senior Years Teacher position assuming Communication Technology Teaching assignment within our English program that could include courses such as: Grade 10 - 12 Computer Science, Grade 10 - 12 Graphic Arts, Grade 10 Digital Pictures, grade 10 Digital Filmmaking, Grade 11 2D Animation, Grade 11 3D Modelling, Grade 9 Information and Communication Technology, and Grade 9 Applying Communication Technology. The ability to teach and communicate in Basic French is a definite asset.

The successful candidate must be a qualified teacher possessing a valid Manitoba teaching certificate or the ability to obtain such. S/he will have excellent classroom management abilities, possess knowledge of best practices around student assessment and evaluation and have exemplary written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent will also have excellent interpersonal skills, present themselves professionally, work collaboratively and independently, and have a sound knowledge of Senior Years Philosophy and how technology is used to enhance teaching and learning.

A condition of employment with the Western School Division is a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check and an agreement by the applicant to disclose criminal record and/or Abuse Registry record information to the Division.
