Summary:

Reporting to the Foreman, the Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment on construction sites.

Job Duties Responsibilities:
-Operate equipment safely and as per standard operating procedures
-Perform inspections, complete equipment maintenance tasks, and check equipment daily
-Keep equipment and vehicles clean and in safe/working order
-Load and unload equipment in a safe manner
-Report any accidents, damage, or defects immediately and work in a safe manner
-Maintain a clean and safe environment
-Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
-Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

-2+ years’ experience in Backhoe operating is required
-Must have a valid driver’s license, Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset
-Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, lifting, etc. for long periods of time
-Strong attention to detail and time management skills
-Strong teamwork and communication skills
-Safety-first attitude
-Provide: must have a hard hat, high visibility vest, CSA approved steel-toed safety boots/shoes
