We are currently accepting applications for the position of Summer Day Camp Leader. In this role, you will be in charge of instructing and demonstrating arts, crafts, & similar activities as well as developing and promoting courses of your own!

Arts Day Camp Leader

Reports to: Programs, Outreach, & Exhibitions Coordinator & Administrative Coordinator

The Arts Day Camp Leader will work with a team including the Administrative Coordinator, Programs, Outreach, & Exhibitions Coordinator, & Gallery Attendant.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Work with a team including the Gallery Attendant, Programs Coordinator, & Administrative Coordinator

· Plan, demonstrate and instruct arts, crafts, and similar activities and lead groups

· Supervise children attending the day camp

· Develop, promote, and implement public relations and promotional materials

· Be familiar with PHAC emergency response steps

· Enforce safety rules

· Respond to parent inquiries and communicate successes or concerns re: camp members as appropriate

· Assist with the coordination of special events

· Schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records and prepare reports

· Maintain and repair equipment/supplies

· Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Language: English

Requirements:

· Applicants must be 18 – 30 years of age

· Must be comfortable working independently within the day camp/classroom setting

· Must be comfortable working with children

· Prior experience with teaching and/ or art is beneficial but not required
