The Role: We are currently looking for a Truck Driver Helper to join our team. You will work with our transportation department to ensure that our department is maintained.

Job Title: Truck Driver Helper

Duties include:

The candidate will assist the driver in making deliveries and picking up products from the company's customers and suppliers. The candidate ensures that the standards of defensive driving are respected as well as the procedures and policies of road safety, food safety and others of the Phoenicia Group.

Assist the driver in the daily pre-trip inspection of the truck and report any defects to the transport supervisor;
Assist the driver in validating loads (number of pallets) for orders;
Proceed with the loading and unloading of the truck in a safe and professional manner;
Assist the driver in verifying and validating the return slips for the products to be returned (quantity and nature);
Clean the interior of the truck and the loading box before leaving his shift (clean the cab, remove the garbage);
Report to the immediate supervisor any problem as soon as possible in order to maintain the level of service;
Respect the company's standards in terms of compliance with food, OHS and other procedures and policies;
Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Language: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year or on job training will be provided

Expected start date: As soon as possible.

Salary: $20.00 per hour for 35 to 40 hours/week

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Day shift, Evening Shift, Night, Early Morning
Monday to Friday and weekends required

Additional pay:

Overtime pay
