The Bethesda Foundation is seeking a dynamic leader to provide direction and oversight in achieving the Board of Director’s mandate to meet the funding requirements necessary to improve current and future health care for the community.
The Executive Director of the Bethesda Foundation is responsible for developing and implementing the overall communications strategy and initiatives of the organization as set out by the Board of Directors. He/she must strengthen both communications effectiveness within the organization and the external reach and reputation of Bethesda Foundation in the region. This individual will be responsible to the Board of Directors and its various committees for: day-to-day leadership of program planning, assist in facilitating committee objectives and timelines, financial planning, operational planning, risk management, special events, foundation staff and community relations and advocacy.
Candidates must hold a track record of success in meeting executive level operational goals, developing and executing strategic projects, meeting financial objectives and delegating tasks while managing staff. This individual must prove knowledgeable in current government legislation's ideally in relation to the health sector. Knowledge of or experience with Southeastern Manitoba business and culture will be an asset. Candidate must be adaptable and have a disciplined approach to life; be autonomous in their daily decision making while still understanding their responsibility to the Board and the committee. Proficiency with current technologies such as Microsoft Office, e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and various digital and social outlets.
