Patron Engagement Assistant – (Competition #RPT23-07)

The Cochrane Public Library is looking for a vibrant, engaged, library loving individual to work as a Patron Engagement Assistant.

Job Description: The Patron Engagement Assistant is responsible for providing responsive and friendly customer service,
including: membership services, information and readers’ services, collection support and various other related duties.

Education and Experience Required:

• Completion of general high school diploma or GED. Equivalent education and/or experience may also be considered
• Fluency in both verbal and written English communication
• Fluency in languages other than English an asset
• Intermediate technological literacy skills
• One to two years of customer service experience
• Previous library experience preferred
• Satisfactory Police Information Check
• Valid Alberta driver’s licence (may be required); ability to satisfy insurance requirements

Schedule: This is a part-time position to be initially scheduled as follows:

Week 1
Monday-Friday - OFF
Saturday - 11:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday - 11:00am-5:00pm

Week 2
Monday - 11:15am-8:15pm
Tuesday - 4:15pm-8:15pm
Wednesday - 9:30am-3:30pm
Thursday - OFF
Friday - 11:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday - OFF
Sunday - OFF

Start date: To be determined

Compensation: $19.61 to $20.83 per hour
