Our maintenance department encompasses a team of experienced and dedicated staff and is inviting another member to join their team. If you possess mechanical aptitude, prioritize safety in your work, aspire for personal and professional development, and have a passion for continuous improvement, we would love to connect with you!
Key Responsibilities
o Machine mechanical repair (emergency break-downs, scheduled down-time and preventative maintenance)
o Parts mechanical repair
o Machine relocation and set-up
o Troubleshooting pneumatic, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
o Service air compressors and vacuum pumps.
o Record production, repair and machine maintenance information.
o Assist with outside custodial duties (gravel salting and snow removal, etc.)
o Machinery adjustments to improve the quality and operation.
o Collaborating with co-workers to create innovative solutions.
o On-call rotation
Key Competencies
o Safety conscious work habits: create a safe work environment.
o Mechanical aptitude
o Basic computer skills
o Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, parts manuals.
o Problem solving
o Teamwork
o Communicate respectfully and tactfully with operators and peers.
o Ability to work with minimal supervision.
o Able to work independently and self-motivate.
o Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience.
o Valid class 5 driver’s license.
o Red Seal Millwright ticket an asset but not required.
