Inventory & Procurement Coordinator

Leroy Feeds is looking for an Grains Inventory & Procurement Coordinator to join our team.
As an Inventory & Procurement Coordinator you are part of the grain purchasing and receiving team. You must build and maintain effective relationships with farmers, brokers and other ingredient suppliers.
Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- part of the team responsible for setting grain prices
- preparing weekly grain market reports for mgmt, outlining the commodity price trendlines
- daily record keeping on grains purchased & received
- communicating and setting up with farmers, brokers and other suppliers the delivery schedule
- inventory control; tracking incoming and usages to ensure adequate inventory levels
- sending out inventory updates to mgmt daily
- communicating with Production Manager inventory concerns and outages
- tracking monthly revenues and expenses of feed delivery fleets
- creating and executing grain contracts with farmers in a timely manner
- fill in other administration duties when office staff is on vacation (feed order entry, invoicing & AP)
- Participate in safety programs and initiatives; taking minutes, administrative duties on safety
- work closely with management on monthly safety inspections and audits
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- experience in the grain industry
- experience in administration
- good computer skills & programs (Microsoft)
- good communicator with high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- ability to work autonomously and in a team setting
- self motivated
