The Marketing Specialist is supported by the Director of Acquisition Marketing.

Job Overview
As an experienced marketing leader, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of take-to-market and channel campaigns, programs, and tactics to deliver on our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This includes demand generation programs, addressing competitive pressures and supporting overall brand and digital assets of Valley Fiber and its subsidiaries.

What You’ll Do:
• Develop and execute sales and marketing campaigns and programs for
our residential (B2C) segment, in collaboration with the Director of
Acquisition Marketing
• Work closely with our existing and expanding residential sales channels
through the optimization of marketing tools to deliver on subscriber and
revenue objectives
• Track and monitor the outcome of programs and KPIs, developing
recommendations and adjustments as required
• Closely monitor the competitive landscape, as well as follow and anticipate
market trends to influence future campaigns
• Support our business (B2B) goals by engaging with our commercial
marketing and sales teams in the execution of segmented take-to-market
programs and tactics
• Contribute to content creation (including photography, videography,
graphic design, written and digital communications) and production of
marketing materials
• Contribute to overall management of the organization’s digital channels,
including websites, social media and SMS/email marketing, for Valley Fiber
and its subsidiaries
• Provide leadership to a growing marketing department

What You Bring:
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration or equivalent
education
• Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, communications, or
business, with experience in the tech industry or an ISP being an asset
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work cross-
functionally, strong organization, task and project management skills and
creativity are required
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, work independently
and in a team setting, set and achieve goals, and effectively communicate
complex ideas
• Strong background in business case development and understanding the
impact of marketing programs on company financials and overall
organizational success
• Strong analytical capability with the objective of surfacing important
customer and market insights
• Experience and comfort in presenting to a senior leadership audience and
gaining approval on recommendations
• Proficiency in graphic design, videography, photography, copywriting, web
design, programming, social media management, traditional and digital
advertising, and digital analytics are advantageous
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign,
Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Audition is an asset
• Certifications in social media management, Google Ads, or Google
Analytics are considered advantageous
• A valid Manitoba license is required for travel between Valley Fiber’s
offices

Working Conditions:
• Ability to work overtime as workload requires
• Ability to work on internal systems for long periods of time in an office
environment
