Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Mining Engineer to contribute to the success of our mining operations in Red Lake. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing mining processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of safety. The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager and work closely with the Underground Foreman to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of project schedules.
• Ensure that contract operations adhere to company policies, procedures, and goals, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner for submission to the client and management.
• Prepare monthly claims and supporting documentation.
• Review and prepare short-term development and production schedules.
• Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are achieved or exceeded on a monthly basis.
• Attend Client/Management Team meetings, preparing contractual documents, operation performance, and cost data for the team.
• Prepare and maintain site forecasting, including quarterly forecasts.
• Assist in engineering designs as required.
• Source and manage sub-contractors as needed.
• Manage the production database, ensuring data integrity.
• Prepare day work claims and collate data to justify claims.
• Assist underground mining crews with hands-on practical experience when possible.
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in underground mining operations
• Familiarity with mining software and scheduling tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging underground mining environment.
