Job Description:

Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units

Load buspans and trays

Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware

Place dishes in storage area

Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand

Scour pots and pans

Package take-out food

Portion and wrap foods

Prepare, heat and finish simple food items

Stock refrigerators and salad bars

Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs

Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment

Handle and store cleaning products

Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas

Remove kitchen garbage and trash

Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Requirements

• Education: Some secondary education is required

• Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

-Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, work under pressure, attention to detail, and handling heavy loads

-Personal suitability: Judgement, flexibility, team player, organized, initiative, dependability, and reliability

-Language: Basic English is required

Salary: $ 15.80 hourly, 40 hours per week.

Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required. The worker will work from Wednesday through Sunday. Mondays and Tuesdays are off. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, the worker will work from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Sundays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Overtime may be required depending on the business needs.
