Job Description:

Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Dust furniture

Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture

Make beds and change sheets

Distribute clean towels and toiletries

Stock linen closet

Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances

Disinfect operating rooms and other areas

Clean and disinfect elevators

Handle and report lost and found items

Pick up debris and empty trash containers

Launder clothing and household linens

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Wash windows, walls and ceilings

Clean changing rooms and showers

Requirements:

Education: Not required.

Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.

Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling

Weigh Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Language: Basic English is required

Salary: $20.00 hourly, 37.5 hours per week

Benefits: Accommodation provided at cost. WSIB is provided. Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Transportation among work locations and uniforms provided by employer.

Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required. The worker will work 6 days per week, from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM.
