Maintenance Manager

In the role of Maintenance Manager, you will ensure all equipment is operating at required capacities, downtime is planned, and operators are trained on appropriate use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule all maintenance of washing and packing equipment.
• Lead the maintenance team. This includes scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Provide expertise and input on equipment repairs – troubleshoot and be hands-on as needed.
• Create and implement a preventative maintenance program.
• Build strong relationships and trust with suppliers and vendors.
• Oversee procurement and accurate inventory of parts, equipment and various other required items and services.
• Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed.
• Oversee equipment modification projects – internal and contracted.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• An optimistic person who sees solutions and improvement opportunities in every situation.
• A self-motivated, service-oriented mindset and willingness to take initiative.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, email, etc.).
• Strong communication skills.
• Exceptional ability to plan, prioritize, and drive projects - especially during peak seasons.
• Team building and leadership skills.
• Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical and construction.
• Understanding of Welding, Metal fabrication and reading of drawings.
