Commissioning Coordinator

Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Commissioning Coordinator to join our team working at our Winnipeg and/or Steinbach, Manitoba office. The Commissioning Coordinator is responsible for creating a written commissioning plan with a schedule and overseeing the installation of various equipment and facilities on site. They must ensure products are working according to the specifications and meet the client’s needs and improve operational procedures. The Commissioning Coordinator will report to the Commissioning Engineer.

Responsibilities
- Manage a smooth commissioning of the project by coordinating between the sub-contractors, suppliers, manufactures and operations personal.
- Create and implement commissioning plans in accordance with project guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain commissioning records of site observations, testing processes, SOP’s, and checklists to present to project stakeholders.

- Provide firsthand support on process troubleshooting and process improvement while maintaining quality and product standards.
- Recommend improvements and offer advice about operational procedures.

- Schedule training and maintenance with operative staff.
- Ensure that equipment meets performance specifications.
- Attain customer satisfaction through adhering to owner guidelines with the entire project team.

Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Electrical experience or relevant technical knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to build strong relationships with interested parties is essential.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and firsthand attitude.
- Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, collaborate well with a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Proficient problem-solving ability.
- Good IT and analytical and writing skills.
- Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making and organization.
- Frequent travel to sites is required.
