Altona Police Service Constable

The Town of Altona is seeking an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills to join the Altona Police Service.

Altona is a clean, safe, and vibrant community of 4,200 and is located in
Manitoba’s picturesque Pembina Valley. This progressive community boasts a number of outstanding businesses and amenities, has a multitude of artistic cultural facilities, as well as indoor and outdoor recreational activities. The Police Service provides policing services to the Town of Altona and the LUD of Plum Coulee.

Reporting to the Chief of Police, Police Constables are responsible for general patrol duties, traffic enforcement, and enforcement of all Municipal By-laws, Provincial Statutes, and Federal Statutes. Applicants should have a strong understanding of work and life in a small rural Manitoba community. The Altona Police Service is looking for individuals who want to reside in a rural environment and understand the challenges this presents.

Required qualifications include:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- No previous Criminal Convictions
- Clean driving record & valid drivers license
- Certification in basic first aid and CPR
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong moral character

The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
