Jig Designer

To meet the growing demand for our product we’re currently seeking a Jig Designer. In this position you will form various production components and ensure quality work is maintained through every step.

In this role, you will collaborate with the jig team to design solutions that allows our production staff to make consistent parts that meet quality and throughput requirements. The mission of the Jig Team is to provide our customers with Jig/Tools/Fixtures and other manufacturing solutions that ensure quality and increase throughput.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Working in the development, testing, and manufacturing launch of new Jigs and Tools.
• Completing the research, design, and test of product or product subsystem development, utilizing our computer application design and analysis tools.
• Developing drawings from 3D models.
• Come up with innovative solutions to solve production challenges.
• Collaborating with product designers to optimize the manufacturability of new products.

We’re Looking For:
• A bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
• Experience working with tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Previous design experience working in design teams.
• Problem solving and professional interpersonal skills.
The following is considered an asset:
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with design tools such as Inventor (or similar 3D CAD system).
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
