Part-Time/Full-Time Cook

Mennonite Collegiate Institute, located in Gretna, Manitoba is a provincially accredited independent Anabaptist Christian high school (Gr. 9-12), and a member of Manitoba Federation of Independent Schools & Canadian Association of Mennonite Schools. Come join our Kitchen Team! We are looking to hire a half to full-time cook, starting immediately.

This position could be a term from now to the end of June, or long term, depending on interest.

Requirements:
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• As an organization working with students, we require a clear criminal record and no vulnerable sector offences
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including 2 evenings/week and up to 2 weekends/month
• 1-year of cooking experience (Preferred)
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork

Job Duties:
• Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements when needed
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Other duties as required
