Service Shop Assistant (Chain Assembly)

Blue Sky Opportunities is currently looking to fill a position in the service shop in the chain assembly department.
The successful applicant will be trained in their department as well as crossed trained when permitted. The applicant must be physically capable to carry out the duties required which include: standing for long periods at a time, reaching, the use of impact drivers and bending over production table.

This is a full time position with a generous benefit package and agency matched pension plan.

Hourly wage - $17.59
Hours weekly - 40 (7:30 am to 4:00 pm)
Start date - as soon as possible

Minimum Requirements:
- Clean criminal record, child and adult abuse registry
- Class 5 driver's licence
- Physically capable of doing the work which could include long periods of standing, bending over a table and lifting
- Dependable, respectful and dedicated to a job well done
- Able to work in variable work conditions to include indoors and outdoors in the recycling department
- Must follow all safe work procedures
- Minimum grade 10 with grade 12 preferred
- Attention to detail and ability to stay focused
- Have the flexibility to change tasks
- Worked unsupervised
- Responsible for equipment and basic maintenance
- Mechanical ability a definite asset
- Previous operation of an indoor and outdoor forklift a definite asset
- Provide direction and support for adults living with an intellectual disability
