Bakery Department Manager (Ste. Anne)

What you’ll do:
The Bakery Department Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks and may be involved in the planning for the direction of their department. Some of the main duties will include:

• Live our brand, “You’re at Home Here” by presenting a positive, collaborative, and professional image of the organization to all customers, visitors, suppliers, and team members.
• Exemplify our company values: People, Integrity, Excellence, and Responsibility.
• Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses, and profits.
• Ensure that department equipment is well maintained and report to Store Manager when repairs or maintenance are required.
• Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints, supply shortages, and staffing issues.
• Assist the Store Manager in communicating operational requirements, operational changes, and translate the vision into departmental initiatives.
• Frequently move items up to 55 lbs. at the site for various needs.
• May provide operational oversight in absence of the Store Manager.
• Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety and food handling standards, inventory control, rotation, ordering and commitment buys.
• Provide recommendations and supports internal pricing, promotion, and product policies in response to local market needs and competition.
• Provide strong leadership and support to team members of the Bakery Department.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Operations and:

• You have 3+ years of previous food retail experience.
• You have 1+ years in a supervisory role.
• You are able to complete the physical requirements of the job.
• Journeyman Baker Certificate would be an asset.
• You have a passion for great customer service.
• You’re honest and trustworthy and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
