Produce Department Manager (Ste. Anne)

Welcome to Clearview Co-op! We are currently hiring a Produce Department Manager to serve our members and customers at our Ste. Anne Food Store!

What you’ll do:
The Produce Department Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks and may be involved in the planning for the direction of their department. Some of the main duties will include:

• Live our brand, “You’re at Home Here” by presenting a positive, collaborative, and professional image of the organization to all customers, visitors, suppliers, and team members.
• Exemplify our company values: People, Integrity, Excellence, and Responsibility.
• Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses, and profits.
• Prepare and merchandise food and provide Produce Department production duties.
• Provide leadership in the area of health and safety. Assist in identifying unhealthy or unsafe situations and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety and food handling standards, inventory control, rotation, ordering and commitment buys, and the delivery of world-class customer service.
• Ensure that department equipment is well maintained and report to Store Manager when repairs or maintenance are required.
• Frequently move items up to 55 lbs. at the site for various needs.
• May provide operational oversight in absence of the Store Manager.
