Full-Time K-3 Term Position

Silverwinds School is seeking applications for full-time K-3 term teaching position, commencing on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 and ending June 30, 2025. The position will most likely be available beyond the first term. Applicants should have a strong background in all areas of Early Years (EY), especially in ELA and Math.

Silverwinds School is a funded, independent K-12 school located on the Silverwinds Hutterite Community near Sperling, Manitoba. In addition to following the Manitoba curriculum, the school promotes Christian values and the Hutterite culture. For more information, please visit www.silverwinds.org.

Applicants should:
• hold a valid Manitoba Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate.
• be familiar with EY English literacy/numeracy best practices as well as provincial curricula.
• have a strong grasp of EY educational psychology and classroom management strategies.
• be prepared to teach in a low-enrolment, multiage classroom.
• be competent with best practices in evaluation and assessment as outlined by MB Education.
• have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• be willing to learn about and be respectful of the Christian faith in a Hutterite context.

Although not required, expertise and experience teaching in the following areas would be welcome assets: German language instruction, drama, fine arts (painting, drawing, etc…) and choral singing/music.

The selected candidate will need to provide current child abuse registry and criminal record checks. Interviews will be conducted in-person at a time to be determined.
