Special Operations Technician

This position reports to the Special Operations Manager. This position reports Valley Fiber’s 800 Monticello Way location.

What You’ll Do:
• Red light testing and plug ins
• RCO outfitting, maintenance, and cleaning as assigned
• Resolve field technical difficulties and ensure that the special operations team is working to the highest standard
• Assist with special connections for NOC/Commercial installs as needed
• Data Centre cable runs and plug ins
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring:
• Class 5 driver’s license is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently well and be a self-starter
• Strong decision making and effective problem-solving skills
• Time management and organization skills
• Ability to schedule priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Working Conditions:
• Ability to work away from home (travel is required)
• Ability to work overtime as workload requires
