Early Childhood Educator

Happy Hive Childcare Centre, a new childcare facility located in Kleefeld, Manitoba, is looking for energetic and caring Early Childhood Educator (ECE) II/III to join our new team as our facility opens its doors later this year! Our chosen team members will be passionate about early learning, be patient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. These team members will be involved with the children within our facility, their families, and the community at large as our centre is truly representative of the growth within our community. Happy Hive Childcare Centre is a new childcare centre located in the heart of Kleefeld, MB. When fully opened, we will be a 104-space centre supporting both infant- and preschool-aged children.

Qualifications

• Possess an up-to-date ECE II or ECE III classification within the province of Manitoba.

• Takes a compassionate approach when dealing with children and families.

• Strong knowledge of child development.

• Currently holds a valid First Aid and CPR certification, or willing to obtain one.

• Will successfully obtain and clear a criminal background and Child Abuse Registry check.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance of daily activities to the children in the centre. - Plan and implement creative activities to help foster development of the children.

• Be able to function as part of a larger team.

• Communicate with parents and family members to better understand family needs, working with the centre leadership to find ways to engage the children.

• Light housekeeping duties in the assigned rooms.

We are looking for both permanent full-time and part-time positions. Starting wage is determined based on experience and classification, and is based upon the published MCCA Market Competitive Wage Grid.
