We are proud to announce that we are opening a new Mexican Restaurant this summer in Blumenort under the name of “GRANDPA’S CAFE”.

We are currently looking for Line Cook candidates who can bring amazing, authentic Mexican recipes to life. If you are a passionate cook who wants to be an important figure in a restaurant from day one, here is your opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Culinary Expertise:
-Prepare and cook a diverse range of Mexican dishes with precision and attention to detail.
-Execute recipes consistently to maintain the authenticity and quality of our menu offerings.
-Showcase creativity by contributing to menu planning, introducing new recipes, and suggesting enhancements to existing dishes.

Quality Assurance:
-Ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and adherence to authentic Mexican flavors.
-Follow established food safety and sanitation guidelines to guarantee a safe dining experience for our guests.

Team Collaboration:
-Work closely with the culinary team to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
-Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of exceptional dishes.

Menu Development:
-Assist in the development of new menu items, considering seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and customer preferences.
-Participate in adjusting item pricing based on ingredient costs and market analysis.

Supervision and Training:
-Provide guidance and supervision to kitchen helpers and other staff members as needed.
-Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, ensuring they understand and adhere to our culinary standards.

Qualifications:

Education:
-High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
Proven experience in Mexican cuisine, showcasing a deep understanding of traditional and modern Mexican cooking techniques.

Certifications:
-Food Safe Level 1 Certificate (to be obtained within 2 weeks of employment).

Skills:
-Strong culinary skills with a focus on Mexican cuisine.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
-Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Pay: $16-$19 / Hour
