Maintenance Supervisor - Afternoons

Exceldor, an Award-Winning, long-standing company seeks a Maintenance Supervisor - Afternoons to join our Maintenance Team at our Blumenort Plant. Shift start time 2:30PM, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications:

 Minimum of 2 Years’ experience in a leadership role.
 Interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and team building skills.
 Experience working in a manufacturing/food processing facility as a Journeyperson or Red Seal Millwright.
 Proven ability in safety management, leadership, employee coaching and development.
 Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
 Excellent technical hands-on skills accompanied with working knowledge of industrial or production environment standards and safety regulations.
 Ability to follow HACCP requirements associated with the job.
 Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other related maintenance software.
 Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plant system problems to provide resolutions and minimize downtime.
 Preference will be given to Millwrights holding a Red Seal.

Responsibilities:

 Manage labor requirements and maintenance of equipment/machinery and facilities.
 Oversee the maintenance millwright employees with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.
 Provide equipment-related expertise and technical guidance to ensure proper work execution.
 Plan work priorities for the maintenance group in conjunction with the engineering group.
 Monitor and provide feedback on all systems and equipment and recognize areas of "continuous improvement" and "best operational practices" in industry.
 Plan, organize, lead and control daily work tasks and long-term projects to meet department targets.
 Facilitate the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our standard operating procedures by educating training, monitoring, and proactively coaching maintenance team.
 Identify potential risk for the prevention of accidents, completing safety /housekeeping inspections, and resolving safety issues.
