Sales Engineer or Technologist

Maverick Industries Ltd, Manufacturer of INTERSTEEL industrial waste & recycling containers, is currently hiring a Sales Engineer or Technologist who has combined experience in sales and mechanical engineering/design. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Engage with existing and prospective customers as a member of the sales team to provide technical consulting as a subject matter expert
- Responsible for learning about customer business needs to support the design and integration of the solution
- Demonstrate products/services to customers when conducting discovery meetings to assist in selecting solutions best suited for their needs, respond to sales and customer requests in a timely manner
- Perform technical functions such as preparing and reviewing proposals, reports, drawings, and complete engineering drawings to build out scope of work for proposals, bill of materials, and ensure accuracy, etc.
- Coordinate with sales and design teams to ensure the overall success of in-house projects by preparing product specifications and proposals, providing pre-sale engineering support using internal proprietary apps/software and AutoDesk Inventor
- Collaborate with sales team to negotiate and close sales by agreeing to terms and conditions ensuring the profitability of the project for Maverick Industries as well as making note of potential future opportunities for the business
- Assist in researching and developing new products and innovations, as well as conveying customer requirements to production/design/project teams

Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates with degree in engineering (mechanical is preferred) or having completed a CET program
- Had a successful experience in sales or marketing role at one point in career
- Proficient in English and comfortable presenting to people
- Experience in CAD drawing and Autodesk Inventor is a great asset
- Metal sheet and tubing knowledge
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Manufacturing experience
- Knowledge in welding is a plus

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
