Particulars:

The successful candidate will retain a 0.8 FTE (80%) permanent position as a Divisional Speech-Language Pathologist, to be based out of a BLSD Divisional Office. This position is itinerant in nature and daily travel can be anticipated within the Divisional boundaries of Altona to Sprague, Manitoba, along the Canada-USA border. The successful candidate will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary Clinical Services team and supervised by the Student Services Coordinator. The Speech-Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with school-based teams to support and promote student learning. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide services to students who have a wide range of communication disorders, including students with complex communication needs and students requiring Augmentative and Alternative communication (AAC). This will include assessment, planning and leading programming, therapeutic intervention and consultative services with students, school teams and families.

Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Must be registered, or be eligible for registration, with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM)
  2. Must have a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  3. Must be in possession of a current School Clinician Certificate (Speech-Language Pathology). Those eligible for a School Clinician Certificate will also be considered, only for a Limited Term Contract to start, as outlined in the certification requirements by Manitoba Education.
  4. A vehicle, or access to a vehicle, is required.
Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the collective agreement between Border Land School Division and the Border Land Teachers’ Association of the Manitoba Teachers’ Society.
